'Illegal Filming and Distribution of Female Body' Pharmaceutical Company Heir Sent to Prosecution
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] The eldest son of a pharmaceutical company owner has been handed over to the prosecution on charges of illegally filming women's bodies and distributing the footage on social media.
According to the police on the 28th, the Hyehwa Police Station in Seoul applied charges of violation of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (filming using cameras, etc.) and distribution of obscene materials under the Information and Communications Network Act, and sent Mr. Lee (33) to the prosecution without detention yesterday with an indictment opinion.
Mr. Lee is accused of filming the body parts of three women without their consent during sexual intercourse and uploading the videos on Twitter. The police had applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. Lee last month, but it was dismissed by the court.
Meanwhile, Mr. Lee was also indicted last month on charges of drunk driving and is currently facing trial. On February 22, he was found by the police in a heavily intoxicated state while in a passenger car in Gangnam, Seoul, and was booked. At that time, Mr. Lee's blood alcohol concentration was 0.091%, which is at the level of license cancellation.
