T'way Air to Operate Irregular Flights Between Gimpo and Gwangju Starting Next Month 26
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] T'way Air announced on the 28th that it will start operating irregular flights twice daily on the Gimpo~Gwangju route from June 26. A total of 144 flights will be operated, providing a total of 27,216 seats.
To commemorate this new route launch, T'way Air will sell special discount tickets starting from a one-way total fare of 9,900 KRW for 17 days from 10 a.m. on the 29th until July 14.
The boarding period for these special fares is from June 26 to July 23, excluding peak seasons and certain dates.
Meanwhile, T'way Air will simultaneously launch flights on the Busan·Gwangju~Yangyang route on the same day. With this, T'way Air has established a total of five domestic routes this year, including the Cheongju~Jeju and Gimpo~Busan routes that began operations in April and May.

A T'way Air official stated, "By operating routes utilizing regional airports, short travel patterns of same-day or one-night two-day trips have become possible," adding, "We expect increased usage among young people in their 20s and 30s, which is anticipated to contribute to revitalizing the local economy."
