Ministry of Economy and Finance Holds Public Institution Fair Recruitment Council Meeting... "Ability-Centered Hiring"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Ministry of Economy and Finance announced on the 27th that it held the 2nd Public Institution Fair Recruitment Council meeting.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Yang Chung-mo, Director General of Fiscal Management at the ministry, held the council meeting at the Government Sejong Complex to review the progress of fair recruitment efforts by each ministry. Officials from the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Ministry of Education, Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, and the Ministry of Personnel Management attended the meeting.
The Public Institution Fair Recruitment Council is a task force (TF) established last November to promote the establishment of fair recruitment in the public sector and its expansion to the private sector.
At this 2nd council meeting, key discussions focused on measures to enhance the implementation of blind recruitment, fair recruitment consulting, introduction of an integrated recruitment system, and management of outsourced recruitment.

Director General Yang stated, "It is of utmost importance to improve the fair recruitment system to establish a merit-based selection system and fundamentally prevent recruitment corruption," adding, "We will actively identify tasks that require inter-ministerial cooperation."
