[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Myung-jin] Jeonbuk Provincial Police Agency (Chief Jo Yong-sik) announced on the 26th that it held a ‘Women’s Safety Grand Debate for the Realization of a Safe Society for Women’ at the main auditorium, attended by more than 140 officials from related organizations and groups concerned with women’s safety.

A representative from a women’s group attending the debate said, “I was moved by Jeonbuk Police’s leading role in overcoming crises, such as providing economic support through the Hope Sharing program to families suffering from sexual and domestic violence who are struggling to maintain their livelihoods due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic,” and added, “We ask that you continue to make efforts in preventing crimes of violence against women and protecting and supporting victims.”
