The music video for "FAKE LOVE," the title track of BTS's third full album LOVE YOURSELF 轉 'Tear,' released in May 2018, surpassed 700 million views at 6:14 PM on May 24. It reached 700 million views seven months after surpassing 600 million views last October.
With this, BTS now holds their third music video to reach 700 million views, following "DNA" and "Jageun Geotdeureul Wihan Si (Boy With Luv) (Feat. Halsey)."
The "FAKE LOVE" music video expresses the dark emotions of a breakup faced after realizing a false love through BTS's unique powerful performance, featuring dazzling sets and sophisticated visuals.
LOVE YOURSELF 轉 'Tear,' which includes "FAKE LOVE," was the first album by a Korean artist to top the Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200' and remained on the chart for 15 consecutive weeks. The "FAKE LOVE" single started at number 10 on the Billboard main singles chart 'Hot 100' and stayed on the chart for six consecutive weeks, receiving worldwide love. Additionally, it was recognized for its value by winning Song of the Year and Best Pop Song at the 16th Korean Music Awards held in February 2019.
