The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 24th at midnight that 25 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 11,190.
The number of newly released from isolation was 19, bringing the total to 10,213 (91.3%) who have been released from isolation, with 711 currently in isolation. There were no additional deaths.
By region, the new confirmed cases were 6 each in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gyeongbuk, 2 in Incheon, and 1 in Gangwon. Four cases were detected during quarantine. As confirmed cases from the Itaewon club-related 'n-th generation infections' continue to occur, the spread is extending not only in the metropolitan area but also to provincial regions, causing health authorities to remain vigilant.
