[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) is recruiting the 8th JBN (Jungnang-gu Internet Broadcasting Station) Student Reporters until June 3.
The JBN Student Reporters will engage in broadcasting-related job experiences such as writing planned articles, news coverage, hosting, reporting, and monitoring JBN programs until March next year.
In addition, reporter activities will be conducted alongside the ‘Talent Sharing Broadcasting Academy.’ Starting from the end of June, participants will receive media education over 12 sessions covering basic broadcasting theory, article writing, reporting, announcing, filming, and directing from Jungnang-gu Internet Broadcasting Station PDs and announcers, as well as special lectures by broadcasting experts.
This education will be conducted in compliance with daily quarantine guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including temperature checks, mask-wearing, and maintaining a 2-meter distance.
The recruitment target is local high school students in grades 1 and 2 who wish to pursue careers in journalism, PD, announcer, broadcasting writer, or related fields. Applicants can apply individually or with a recommendation from their school principal.
The application period is until June 3. Applicants can download the application form, self-introduction letter, and recommendation letter from the Jungnang-gu website or the official Jungnang-gu blog and submit them via email (ljhpd@jn.go.kr). The district plans to select 10 final candidates on June 12 after document screening and phone interviews.
Furthermore, certificates of completion, activity records, and volunteer activity certificates will be actively provided as materials helpful for college admission and career paths.
Since 2013, the district has been operating the ‘JBN Student Reporters’ and ‘Talent Sharing Broadcasting Academy’ to assist high school students in Jungnang-gu with their college and career choices, having produced 70 JBN student reporters to date.
