[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] A man in his 60s who was scheduled to work as a caregiver at a nursing hospital in the Gyeongnam region tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
On the 22nd, Gyeongsangnam-do announced that a man identified as Mr. A (60), living in Jinju, tested positive for COVID-19.
The man tested positive during a comprehensive screening conducted for prospective caregivers at nursing hospitals. Gyeongnam Province stated that he has no underlying health conditions and shows no symptoms of COVID-19.
Health authorities transferred him to Jinju Gyeongsang National University Hospital and plan to investigate the specific infection route and identify contacts.
