[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jeonnam Provincial Council announced that the "Jeollanam-do Office of Education Restroom Management Ordinance," which was proposed by Representative Shin Minho, was approved at the plenary session on the 22nd.
Representative Shin Minho pointed out, "Recently, damage caused by illegal filming in public restrooms has been increasing, and this has heightened users' anxiety."
He continued, "The ordinance was proposed to prevent illegal filming in restrooms of schools and public libraries under the Office of Education, as well as other multi-use facilities, and to ensure they are managed in a pleasant and hygienic manner."
The ordinance includes provisions for establishing a continuous inspection system to check for illegal filming devices, as well as regular inspections and disinfection to maintain restroom hygiene, the provision of convenience items for users, and consignment management.
As a result, it is expected that students and visitors to public libraries and lifelong education centers under the Office of Education will be able to use restrooms more safely and conveniently.
