The agreement includes discounts on Mokpo Marine Cable Car for Jindo City Tour users, support for online and offline promotional marketing, development of products for mutual tourism revitalization, and various mutual efforts to revive tourism, which has been stagnant due to COVID-19.
Jindo-gun has a relatively small decline in tourists due to its image as a clean area with no confirmed COVID-19 cases and the opening of Sol Beach Jindo, the largest resort in Honam.
In addition, various events are being planned to revitalize the tourism industry after COVID-19, such as "Traveling in Jindo for a Month," "Island Tour Bus Operation," and "Hosting the National Korean Culture and Tourism Guide Competition."
