Gwangju Buk-gu, Full-Scale Promotion of Mobile Healthcare Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Moon In) announced on the 21st that it will select 100 participants for the ‘2020 Mobile Healthcare Project’ by the 29th and begin full-scale project implementation to improve residents' self-health management capabilities.
The Mobile Healthcare Project is a program that supports customized health management services using a mobile app for adults with health risk factors.
Eligible participants are adults aged 19 or older who reside or work in Buk-gu and have at least one health risk factor among ▲blood pressure ▲fasting blood glucose ▲waist circumference ▲triglycerides ▲HDL cholesterol, with those having three or more or belonging to vulnerable health groups given priority.
However, participants must own and be able to use a smartphone, and those diagnosed with or taking medication for hypertension, diabetes, or dyslipidemia are excluded.
Participants will be provided with a smart band that measures steps, travel distance, heart rate, etc., linked to the mobile app.
Buk-gu plans to provide comprehensive health management services through monitoring of diet, exercise, and one-on-one professional counseling by the dedicated mobile healthcare team from next month until December.
