Sunchang-gun Partners with Artist 'Jo Geun-ho' for Village Art Project...
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-jin] Sunchang County signed a business agreement on the 20th with Sunchang Art Development Center, represented by artist Jo Geun-ho, to be selected for the village art project contest.
Through the business agreement, the county promised to secure locations and funding for the village art project, while Sunchang Art Development Center pledged to actively participate in the contest by utilizing various local resources.
Jo Geun-ho, the general director of Sunchang Art Development Center responsible for the project execution, is a native of Sunchang who graduated from the Department of Painting at Chosun University and its graduate school, and has been actively holding solo exhibitions in Gwangju.

County Governor Hwang Suk-ju stated, “When an ordinary rural village dons the attire of art, it can offer a unique charm of Sunchang not only to the villagers but also to tourists,” adding, “We look forward to the transformation of Sunchang through artist Jo’s touch in creating a cultural belt linked with the Seomjin River Art Museum and the Suspension Bridge.”
