Busan International Film Festival Expands Scope... Operation of Asian Contents & Film Market
New Name for Asia Film Market... Content Trading Without Distinction Between Film and Broadcasting
The Busan International Film Festival announced on the 20th that it will rename the Asia Film Market, which has been operating since 2006, to the Asia Contents & Film Market. This decision was made to broaden the scope to the entire film and video content industry. The festival had previously signaled this expansion by establishing the Asia Contents Awards last year. The market aims to become a venue for trading diverse and rich video content without distinction between film and broadcasting. This year's Asia Contents & Film Market will be held at BEXCO in Haeundae from October 10 to 13, during the Busan International Film Festival. Submissions for the Asia Contents Awards will be accepted until the 30th of next month.
