41 COVID-19 Cases from Itaewon, Gyeonggi Province as of the 20th... 21% of Nationwide Total

Im Seung-kwan, co-head of the Gyeonggi Province COVID-19 Emergency Response Team (Director of Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center Anseong Hospital), stated at the regular briefing on the 20th, "It is true that it is difficult to perfectly control personal information exposure and privacy invasion during epidemiological investigations and information disclosure, but Gyeonggi Province will communicate with civil society to identify and fill in the gaps." He emphasized, "If there are residents who visited the Itaewon and Nonhyeon-dong areas in Seoul recently but have not yet been tested, they should promptly undergo diagnostic testing at their local health center regardless of symptoms."
According to the province, as of midnight on the 20th, the total number of confirmed cases related to Itaewon clubs nationwide is 192. Among them, confirmed cases in the province increased by 7 from the previous day to a total of 41. Of these, 19 are directly related to Itaewon clubs, and 22 are community infections involving family members, coworkers, and others who had contact with confirmed cases. By occupation, office workers make up half with 20 people (49%). By age group, those in their 20s and 30s are the largest group with 34 people (83%).
A total of 19,053 people have undergone diagnostic testing, including 17,430 related to Itaewon clubs and 1,623 related to the community. Among them, 18,959 tested negative, 41 tested positive, and 53 are still undergoing testing.
