About 20 people, including County Governor Jeong Jong-sun, county officials, and representatives of taxi drivers, attended the communication meeting held in the county office situation room, exchanging opinions on topics such as the 100-won taxi operation, taxi wrapping advertisements, changes in reduction plans, and terminal restroom improvements.
After hearing about the difficulties faced by drivers in the taxi transportation industry, which has been stagnant due to COVID-19, Governor Jeong said, “We have provided an emergency disaster relief fund worth about 40 million won to the taxi industry affected by COVID-19, but we will also carefully review additional suggestions.”
At the meeting, the specific county administration direction centered on ‘4(four) Mecca Jangheung,’ focusing on sports, medical care, safety, and eco-friendliness, was also explained.
Governor Jeong Jong-sun said, “Kind taxi service is no different from a brand that can enhance the region’s image and dignity,” and urged, “Please take the lead in realizing transportation welfare that makes residents happy through healthy smiles, kind guidance, and safe driving.”
