Education Superintendent Lee Jae-jeong: "Gyeonggi Dream School Must Grow into a Cooperative"
[Asia Economy (Namyangju) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Jae-jung, Superintendent of Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, stated that he will support the growth of Gyeonggi Dream Schools so that they can evolve into cooperatives.
Gyeonggi Dream Schools are programs designed for students to plan independently and realize their dreams through challenges and self-reflection.
On the 19th, Superintendent Lee attended the '2020 Gyeonggi Dream School Learning Community Executive Workshop' held at Donghwa Culture Village Training Center in Namyangju, where he discussed cooperation methods between schools and community education.
At the event, Superintendent Lee explained, "Dream Schools can extend beyond the school fence to encompass the entire community and even the whole Republic of Korea as a school," adding, "It is a place where students meet peers from other schools and grades, realize the value of challenges, develop social skills, and prepare for their future lives."
He continued, "I hope that the regional learning communities of Dream School operators will connect into cooperatives to enable the Dream Schools to grow further and operate continuously and stably," expressing his expectations.
