30s Reckless Driver from Incheon to Seoul... Positive on Drug Rapid Test
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 30s under the influence of drugs was caught after a reckless driving chase from Incheon to Seoul.
The Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police Station announced on the 19th that they arrested a man in his 30s, identified as Mr. A, on charges including violation of the Narcotics Control Act and have applied for an arrest warrant.
According to the police, Mr. A is suspected of reckless driving while intoxicated on drugs from Incheon to Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 16th.
Police who responded to the report demanded Mr. A to stop his vehicle starting from Incheon, but he refused and continued to flee. During the pursuit, several vehicles were damaged, and one police officer was injured. Mr. A eventually stopped his car near the Ministry of National Defense in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, around 11:25 p.m. the same day, but fled on foot and was apprehended by the police.
