According to Chungnam fire authorities on the 19th, the fire occurred around 2:25 PM in the research room of the LG Chem Catalyst Operation Center.
The fire department reported that after receiving the fire report, the major fire was extinguished around 3:09 PM, about 40 minutes later. They are currently cleaning up the remaining flames and investigating whether there are any additional casualties.
However, it is reported that the search is difficult due to smoke filling the interior of the building where the fire occurred.
