'Yeongtak Makgeolli' Becomes a Blessing for Yecheon-gun, Gyeongbuk... Mister Trot Is an Ongoing Story
Governor Lee Cheol-woo Visits Yecheon Brewery: "Overcoming the COVID Crisis Requires Seizing Opportunities Like 'Youngtak Makgeolli'"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gyeongsangbuk-do announced that Governor Lee Cheol-woo visited the brewing site of Yecheon Brewery Co., Ltd. (Yonggung-myeon, Yecheon-gun), which has recently become an issue with ‘Yeongtak Makgeolli,’ on the afternoon of the 19th to encourage CEO Baek Gu-young and the workers.
On May 14th, Yecheon Brewery launched Yeongtak Makgeolli, sparking a nationwide Makgeolli boom and receiving enthusiastic attention from consumers wanting to purchase it.
The quick marketing use of ‘Makgeolli Hanjan,’ the hit song by Yeongtak, a local singer who ranked second on the recently ended entertainment program 'Mr. Trot,' and the enhancement of the product’s freshness and the lively, tangy taste with active yeast proved to be effective.
Governor Lee emphasized that this case is the result of innovation that wisely overcame the COVID-19 crisis through Makgeolli brewing technology and marketing on site, praising it as "the fruit of the quick judgment and decision of the representative who reads the flow of the times and the efforts of the employees."
