The confirmed patient is a man in his 20s (28), known to reside in Iksan.
The man is believed to have been infected by a friend who was a confirmed case after attending a friend's wedding in Dobong-gu, Seoul.
After the friend he met during the Seoul visit tested positive, the man was classified as a close contact and tested negative in the first test.
However, symptoms appeared during self-quarantine, and in a subsequent test on the 19th, he tested positive and was transferred to Wonkwang University Hospital for treatment.
