On the 18th, the MBC entertainment program 'If You Envy, You Lose' aired an episode featuring the couple Lee Jae-han and Choi Song-hyun, showing them scuba diving and free diving.
That day, while giving diving lessons, Lee Jae-han encouraged his juniors by saying, "Let's get through this well. We have to go out to the sea."
Later, during a meal with Choi Song-hyun, he revealed, "These days, diving instructors are really struggling," adding, "You can't quit before even starting the instructor work, right? So I decided to give lessons without charging money to the struggling junior divers."
He continued, "It wasn't like this just last year. These days seem to be the worst. It's the toughest time in the 10 years since I started diving. Normally, this season should be the best, but income seems to have dropped by over 90%."
He also recalled, "After the IMF crisis, my family was greatly shaken, but my father seemed to recover quickly. Looking back now, I wonder how hard it must have been for him."
