[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Bukbu Fire Station (Chief Lee Wonyong) announced on the 18th that it will conduct fire safety inspections targeting 73 senior centers in the jurisdiction, which are mainly used by elderly people vulnerable to fires.
This inspection was promoted in anticipation that the frequency of use of senior centers, facilities for vulnerable groups whose use was restricted due to COVID-19, will increase following the transition to daily quarantine measures.
Using a special fire investigation report, the inspection will focus on ▲checking fire facilities and preemptively removing fire hazards ▲verifying electrical facilities such as circuit breakers ▲guiding the replacement of old fire extinguishers and attaching safety pictograms ▲providing fire prevention education to related personnel.
