Jung Eun-kyung, head of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters (CDSCH), stated at a regular briefing held on the 18th at the Osong Disease Control Headquarters in Chungbuk, "As of 12 PM today, two additional confirmed cases related to Itaewon clubs have been identified."
Earlier, among the 15 new patients reported as of midnight, 5 were domestic cases. Of these 5, 2 were related to the Itaewon clubs.

Head Jung explained, "The two club-related cases include one club visitor and one contact of a confirmed patient," adding, "With two more confirmed cases as of 12 PM, the total reaches 170." Among the 170 confirmed cases, 89 are club visitors and 81 are contacts.
