The 19 markets selected in this public contest, including Jukdo Agricultural Products Market, will receive a total of over 700 million KRW in national funds, ranging from 20 million to 60 million KRW depending on their size. In particular, Pohang Keundonghae Market, selected for the ‘Safety Management Package Support Project,’ will receive 600 million KRW in national funds.
Each traditional market is expected to be reborn as a premium traditional market through customized joint marketing activities suitable for local characteristics, such as prize giveaways, discount events, cultural performances, events, and quarantine activities, funded by the support.
Currently, in the Pohang area, seven markets have been selected for four public contest projects, including the Cultural Tourism Type Development Project for Keundonghae Market, the Specialized First Step Foundation Project for Daehan Bulbit Market, the Market Manager Employment Support Project, and the Shopping Delivery Service Support Project, receiving national funding.
