Wake the 'Sasindo' Animals at the National Museum of Korea
Operation of Exhibition Viewing and Experience Content to Mark the Reopening
On the 18th, the National Museum of Korea announced that it will operate 'Awakening the Animals of the Four Guardian Spirits' on its official app in line with its reopening. This exhibition appreciation and experience content involves completing missions by finding nine exhibition items in the permanent exhibition hall to awaken the animals sleeping within the Four Guardian Spirits depicted in the Goguryeo tomb murals. It was developed in collaboration with the Functional Game Research Institute at Kwangwoon University. Using augmented reality (AR) technology, visitors can observe the location and form of the exhibition items. By solving various missions, they can also understand their purpose and meaning. An official stated, "In a situation where group explanations are not possible due to 'social distancing in daily life,' we expect this to provide another form of enjoyment for the exhibition."
