KT Skylife Expands Commercial Facility Channels to 213
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT Skylife announced on the 18th that it will significantly expand and reorganize its products for commercial facilities such as nationwide lodging businesses, hospitals, and gyms, as well as multi-family residences like one-room apartments and officetels.
First, the Android Biz product Biz All will be integrated into a single offering, and considering the diverse viewing preferences of Biz customers, the number of channels has been increased from 200 to 213. With this reorganization, Biz-exclusive OTT services have also become available. Currently, the OTT services available include ‘CineHotel,’ which offers a total of about 550 movies and adult content, and ‘WaveOn,’ which provides 300,000 TV catch-up programs including terrestrial, general programming, and overseas series, as well as about 3,300 free movies.
The Biz-exclusive OTT services can be selected per room upon product subscription, making it cost-effective. Biz customers operating businesses such as lodging facilities also have the advantage of offering rooms with added OTT services as a premium service to consumers. The UI (user interface) has also been newly revamped. By introducing a Biz-exclusive UI, promotional images and notices for the business can be applied on the main screen. Customers can choose between the basic UI and a customized UI according to the characteristics of their business in the screen settings.
The newly reorganized Biz product ‘Biz All’ costs 7,700 KRW per room per month (including VAT, with a 3-year contract), and if customers opt for a rate benefit instead of a gift, it can be used at a rate in the 4,000 KRW range per room. Additionally, if both OTT services ‘CineHotel’ and ‘WaveOn’ are added, customers can use 213 channels including 6 UHD channels, movies, adult content, and unlimited TV catch-up all for under 10,000 KRW per room.
