[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Psychological and emotional counseling services related to family issues are being provided due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and the Korea Healthy Family Promotion Agency announced on the 17th that starting from the 18th, psychological and emotional support will be provided for family conflicts arising from anxiety caused by COVID-19, accumulated feelings of isolation and depression due to extended time spent at home, and increased time spent with family members.

Psychological and emotional counseling is available 365 days a year from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. through the "Family Counseling Hotline (1644-6621)," where counselors provide coping strategies and consultations according to the situation, and also guide government support services related to livelihood and caregiving. For cases requiring in-depth counseling, professional counseling linked with local Healthy Family Support Centers is also available.
