Seoul Scholarship Foundation Selects 1,328 Low-Income High School Students... Provides 1.9 Billion KRW in Scholarships
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The Seoul Scholarship Foundation, established by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, announced on the 18th that it will select 1,328 recipients for the 'Seoul Hope High School Career Scholarship' to strengthen the career capabilities of low-income high school students.
Applicants must be current students in Seoul high schools who are recipients of basic living subsidies or belong to the near-poverty class, and the number of selected students has been increased about twofold compared to last year.
To apply for the scholarship, the school principal must recommend the student, and the school's scholarship officer can submit the application online through the Seoul Scholarship Foundation website (www.hissf.or.kr). The application period is until May 29.
The selection results will be announced in early July, and selected scholarship recipients will receive up to 1.5 million KRW annually.
