'Hangout with Yoo' Henry: "A co-ed group is 'solo opera'"... Yoo Jae-suk bursts out laughing
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] On the afternoon of the 16th, MBC's 'How Do You Play?' featured a scene where Yoo Jae-suk visited Henry to seek advice on forming a co-ed group.
That day, before forming the co-ed group, Yoo Jae-suk received advice from Lee Ji-hye of SHARP, saying, "For a sophisticated image within the group, a member who can speak English is needed," and then went to see Henry.
Yoo Jae-suk was deeply impressed by the various instruments in Henry's practice room. He immediately said to Henry, "Do you know there was no dance music in the summer of 2019? And there were no co-ed groups either."
Henry agreed, saying, "That's right. Ballads were more dominant than dance music," but when it came to co-ed groups, he interpreted it as "solo classical singing," which caused laughter as he didn't understand at all.
Yoo Jae-suk then explained, "A group with both men and women," and only then did Henry understand, saying, "KARD!" He then asked, "Are you trying to make a fake KARD?" which put Yoo Jae-suk in an awkward position.
Yoo Jae-suk continued, "Usually, overseas-trained members are assigned English rap," and Henry also revealed, "I mostly rapped 'one, two, three, four' in the group." Upon hearing this, Yoo Jae-suk said, "I need to verify your singing skills," and Henry jumped up, saying, "No secret auditions allowed," which embarrassed Yoo Jae-suk.
