Sejong City Encourages Spread of 'Good Rent Reduction Campaign'
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City is promoting the spread of the local ‘Good Rent Reduction Campaign.’
On the 15th, the city held a meeting at Cheongsol Building in Areum-dong to encourage landlords participating in the campaign and discuss ways to revitalize the local economy.
There are 22 local landlords participating in the campaign, and currently 47 stores are benefiting from rent reductions. Eight store owners attended the event.
The city decided to provide benefits such as Hapgang Camping Site usage vouchers to these landlords at the event.
Additionally, stores operated by tenants who received rent reductions will be marked with a ‘Good Win-Win Store’ sign to improve their image, promote the shops, and foster a community culture through the good rent reduction movement.
One landlord who attended the event said, “This initiative started to share the pain of tenants during difficult times, and I am grateful for this opportunity. I hope the atmosphere of good rent reductions continues even after COVID-19.”
