About 100 public officials, around 40 soldiers from the 5th Battalion of the Army 7516 Unit, and 400 to 500 personnel daily from organizations such as the Saemaul Association, Red Cross Volunteer Society, Barugesalgi Council, Korea Freedom Federation, and Women's Volunteer Activity Center will participate in the volunteer work until the end of July when the busy farming season ends.
Earlier, on the 11th, the county opened a rural labor assistance mediation window that registers applicants for labor assistance and farms in need, connecting them, as securing manpower became difficult in rural areas facing the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic during the busy farming season.

On the 14th, County Governor Lee Seung-yul visited fruit farms with about 600 volunteers to carry out volunteer activities. He said, "So far, about 1,500 volunteers have helped around 100 farms with tasks such as thinning peaches, pruning jujube shoots, and harvesting garlic scapes," adding, "We will spare no effort to support farmers so they do not miss the optimal farming period due to labor shortages."
