1 Dead, 2 Seriously Injured in Suspected Arson Fire at Gangnam Villa
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A fire suspected to be arson broke out in a villa in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, resulting in one death and two serious injuries.
According to the fire authorities, at around 10:54 a.m. on the 14th, a fire suspected to be arson occurred on the 5th floor of a five-story villa located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The fire department completely extinguished the fire within about 30 minutes.
The suspected arsonist, a man in his 40s, was transported to the hospital but died. His nephews, A (11) and B (14), sustained serious injuries. Four other family members inhaled smoke but fortunately are reported to be out of life-threatening danger.

The police and fire authorities are conducting a joint investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
