The nationwide cumulative number of related confirmed cases has risen to at least 142.
Among the new patients, many were men in their 20s who visited Itaewon earlier this month, including Seoul Yongsan-gu cases 32 and 33, Geumcheon-gu case 13, and Dongdaemun-gu case 34.
However, Yeongdeungpo-gu case 29 was a man in his 70s hospitalized at Yeongdeungpo Hospital, who was infected at the hospital by an occupational therapist who had visited the Itaewon clubs.
Accordingly, the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul since January 24 has increased to at least 724.

Earlier on the same day, according to the Central Disease Control Headquarters' count as of noon, 60 cases outside Seoul were confirmed as part of the Itaewon club cluster infection: 25 in Gyeonggi, 18 in Incheon, 8 in Chungbuk, 4 in Busan, and 1 each in Chungnam, Jeonbuk, Gyeongnam, Gangwon, and Jeju.
