Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Holds Government Awards and Commendation Ceremony in Celebration of Teachers' Day

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 14th that it held the ‘Government Awards and Commendation Ceremony’ for teachers who have established the true image of a teacher in celebration of the 39th Teachers' Day.
This event selected and awarded commendations to educators who serve passionately and devotedly in the field of education to foster a social atmosphere that respects teachers and to boost teachers' pride.
In the field of merit, selections were made in five areas: ▲subject guidance ▲life guidance ▲career and vocational education ▲educational innovation ▲lifelong education, welfare, and service. Teachers who significantly contributed to the implementation of major government education policies and led educational innovation, contributing to changes in the education field, were given priority.
The awards included ▲Geunjeong Medal presented to Kim Young-jung, principal of Sangsa Elementary School ▲Presidential Commendations awarded to Lee Hyun-hee, head of the Future Talent Division at the headquarters, Kim Jae-jeom, director of Mokpo Education Support Office, and Hwang Ok-woon, principal of Yeonam High School.
Also, ▲Prime Minister’s Commendations were given to Lee Kyu-jae, vice principal of Gyesan Elementary School, Na Jung-sook, principal of Goheung Girls' Middle School, Kim Hong-ryeol, principal of Nokdong Middle School, and Kim Hyang-woon, teacher at Naju Technical High School ▲Ministerial Commendations were awarded to Kim Jung-gon, teacher at Gwangyang Baegun High School, and 110 others, and Superintendent Commendations were given to Na Won-yeop, teacher at Mokpo Yongho Elementary School, and 653 others.
This year’s Korea Public Official Award, recognizing outstanding achievements through dedication to the public and proactive work performance, was presented to Lee Hyun-jong, teacher at Yeocheon High School.
