"Car Wash, Parking, Brokerage, and Charging... SK Energy to Build Integrated Vehicle Management Platform"
[Asia Economy Reporter So-yeon Park] SK Energy has officially begun developing an integrated vehicle management service targeting mobility customers to concretely execute its growth strategy through customer value innovation, partnering with leading service providers in various fields of vehicle management.
On the 14th, SK Energy formed partnerships with six specialized service companies necessary for car management, including car wash and valet parking, to develop a vehicle management platform. The signing ceremony held at SK Seorin Building in Jongno-gu, Seoul, was attended by representatives of vehicle management service companies engaged in car wash and valet parking businesses such as Selsemo, Gotcha, Lupes, Majimak Samsipbun, Sechawang, and Autostay.
SK Energy explained, "Although cars have become essential items in modern daily life, managing them is not easy, causing significant difficulties for customers. By collaborating with specialized companies to provide car management services, customers will receive reliable and trustworthy services, and specialized companies will also be able to grow, creating a win-win model."
SK Energy also stated, "With the popularization of mobile devices and the activation of untact services due to COVID-19, the size of the online-to-offline (O2O) market is rapidly expanding." They added, "This signing ceremony is the first step toward building and providing an integrated vehicle management service that customers using O2O mobility services can trust and use conveniently."
SK Energy plans to create an integrated vehicle management service platform together with its partner companies, initially developing services such as hand car wash, on-site car wash, self-service car wash, and valet parking, and gradually expanding into related fields such as new car brokerage, parking, and electric vehicle charging.
Through the vehicle management platform, SK Energy intends to offer customers ▲ objective information by service, ▲ a convenient one-stop system enabling everything from reservation to payment, and ▲ membership benefits allowing the use of integrated mileage. This will significantly reduce customers' inconvenience caused by differences in price and quality among companies, lack of information making it difficult for customers to find and utilize services themselves, and the need to install separate applications for each service.
Kang Shin-gyu, CEO of Lupes, a specialized car management company who attended the partnership signing ceremony, said, "Through SK Energy's vehicle management platform, customer accessibility will increase, and business expansion will be possible through service advancement."
