Samsung C&T Proposes Banpo 3rd District Free of 'Fine Dust, Viruses, and Noise'
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] Samsung C&T Construction Division emphasized on the 14th that it will develop Banpo Jugogu 3rd Complex (Banpo 3rd Complex) in Seocho-gu, Seoul, where reconstruction bidding competition is underway, into a 'Clean Apartment' free from fine dust, viruses, and noise.
Samsung C&T stated, "We have led improvements in residential environments through advanced technology and have continuously developed technologies to reduce fine dust and viruses," adding, "We plan to actively apply these technologies and systems to Banpo 3rd Complex, which is currently under bidding."
First, inside each unit of Banpo 3rd Complex, the Raemian Internet of Things (IoT) Home Cube will be provided to automatically measure indoor fine dust concentration and improve indoor air quality.
Additionally, a heat exchanger equipped with a high-performance HEPA filter will supply fresh outdoor air indoors and allow polluted indoor air to be expelled outside.
At the entrance of each building, a Pure Gate will be installed that uses high-speed air to remove fine dust and viruses. Each unit will feature a clean entrance with a middle door and an Air Dresser to remove residual dust and viruses from outerwear.
Near major facilities within the complex, such as children's playgrounds, Cool Mist sprayers will be installed to disperse fine water particles into the air, reducing the inflow of fine dust.
Furthermore, to reduce noise between floors, the concrete thickness of the floor will be increased by 40mm compared to the original plan, and soundproofing materials will be reinforced in the dropped ceilings. Separate beams will be added to elevator shafts adjacent to units to simultaneously reduce noise and vibration.
