Gwanak Youth Culture Zone Operator Recruitment Announcement
Providing Youth Networking Spaces and Programs Through Agreement with Private Operators... Applications Accepted May 14-28, Selected Organizations Supported Up to 1 Million KRW per Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) is recruiting businesses to participate in the 'Gwanak Youth Culture Zone Operation Project Contest.'
This project was proposed and selected for Seoul Youth Policy Office's ‘2020 Autonomous District Youth Policy Governance Activation Support Project’ to create a youth cultural hub by providing youth networking spaces and programs, and it is fully funded by the city.
The district plans to operate a youth space from July to October in partnership with private businesses, where young people can freely use the space and participate in various self-development programs, fostering youth culture and supporting the establishment of youth networks.
Applicants must be registered organizations (companies) located in Gwanak-gu, possessing a space of at least 33㎡, capable of accommodating at least five people, and able to regularly operate programs such as life lectures, performances, and events targeting youth.
Additionally, applicants are required to operate regular programs at least four times a month. The selection will evaluate various aspects including space size, accessibility, facility excellence, existing usage, and the operator’s understanding of the business. About ten organizations will be selected and provided with project funding up to 1 million KRW per month. However, organizations receiving funding from other institutions, religious or political groups, or those related to entertainment or gambling industries will be excluded from selection.
The application period is from May 14 to 28. Interested organizations (companies) can check and prepare the application form and required documents on the Gwanak-gu Office website (News & Notices → Announcements → Official Notices) and submit them either by visiting the Youth Policy Division in person or via email (voyageun@ga.go.kr).
