120 Confirmed Cases Nationwide from Itaewon Club Cluster Infection
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) linked to Itaewon clubs has increased to 120.
According to the Central Disease Control Headquarters' announcement as of noon on the 13th, the cumulative confirmed cases related to Itaewon clubs are 69 in Seoul, 23 in Gyeonggi, 15 in Incheon, 5 in Chungbuk, 4 in Busan, and 1 each in Jeonbuk, Gyeongnam, and Jeju, totaling 119 nationwide. One additional case was confirmed in Seoul as of 6 p.m.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the number of COVID-19 screening test takers across Seoul was approximately 6,544 on the 11th and 8,343 on the 12th. Before the Itaewon club cluster infection incident, about 1,000 people were tested daily on average.
