Japan's COVID-19 Case Increase Slows... State of Emergency Likely Lifted Except in Tokyo and Others

According to the Asahi Shimbun on the 13th, the number of new COVID-19 cases in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, was recorded at 10. This is the lowest level in 52 days since 3 new cases were reported on March 22.
As the increase in COVID-19 cases in Japan slows, there are expectations that the state of emergency will be lifted in some areas among the 47 administrative regions in Japan.
Kyodo News reported that despite partial lifting, the state of emergency is expected to be maintained in Tokyo, Hokkaido, Kanagawa Prefecture, Saitama Prefecture, Osaka, and Hyogo Prefecture.
