Honam Statistics Office-Gwangju Jeonnam Research Institute, MOU for Regional Statistics Development
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Honam Regional Statistics Office (Director Lee Hoseok) announced on the 13th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for business cooperation with the Gwangju-Jeonnam Research Institute (Director Park Jaeyoung) to promote the use of the Statistical Data Gwangju Center and the development of regional statistics.
Through this business agreement, the two organizations agreed to mutually cooperate in ▲promoting the use of the Statistical Data Gwangju Center ▲developing and advancing regional statistics for Gwangju and Jeonnam.
Lee Hoseok, Director of the Honam Regional Statistics Office, said, “Transforming vast and diverse data into meaningful statistics can diagnose reality and create new value that serves as a compass for the future.”
He added, “Through this MOU with the Gwangju-Jeonnam Research Institute, by linking and analyzing various data related to population, households, and businesses held by the Statistics Office with diverse research materials from the Gwangju-Jeonnam Research Institute, it will become an innovative platform for developing specialized statistics and producing analytical data at the regional level.”
He also stated, “We will continue to expand business agreements with local research institutes and regional universities to strengthen the role of the Statistics Office as a data hub and a catalyst for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”
