Jeonnam Education Staff, 38 out of 49 Visitors to Itaewon and Hongdae Test Negative

According to the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education on the 11th, among 34 native English teachers and 15 education staff who visited Itaewon clubs, the Itaewon area, and near Hongdae, 38 tested negative. Additionally, 11 are undergoing testing, and the results are expected to be released that afternoon.
The Office of Education decided to continue self-quarantine for the concerned education staff, their families, and contacts, and to postpone in-person classes for all schools in Jeonnam, including the third-year high school students, by one week.
Superintendent Jang Seok-woong said at the expanded executive meeting the day before, "We need to thoroughly supervise and guide the education staff to strictly follow daily quarantine rules, as well as make thorough preparations for school reopening," and added, "I appreciate the situation room team who have been working hard every day."

A representative from the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education stated, "Fortunately, all the tested education staff have so far tested negative, and we expect the remaining staff to also test negative."
