Jeonbuk Province Public Service Worker Recruitment Exam Records 19.5:1 Competition Ratio
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Tae-in] Jeonbuk Province announced on the 11th that a total of 253 people applied for this year's 2nd public service worker recruitment exam, recording an average competition rate of 19.5:1.
In particular, 65 and 70 applicants applied for office assistance and forest management respectively, showing the highest competition rate of 67.5:1 on average. This is analyzed as Jeonbuk Province's public service positions being recognized as quality jobs amid difficult employment conditions for job seekers.

By age group, those in their 30s were the largest with 104 people (41.1%), followed by those in their 20s with 69 people (27.3%), 40s with 60 people (23.7%), 50s with 19 people (7.5%), and teens with 1 person (0.4%), with those in their 20s and 30s accounting for 68.4%.
For this public service recruitment exam, the seven general recruitment positions (in-person application) will select final successful candidates through document screening and interviews, while two positions (office assistance and forest management) with online applications will select final successful candidates through written exams, document screening, and interviews.
The plan is to hire 13 final successful candidates on July 3rd after the written exam on June 20th and interviews from June 30th to July 1st; however, the exam schedule may change depending on the COVID-19 situation and other circumstances.

A Jeonbuk Province official said, “As preference for public service positions increases, Jeonbuk Province will do its best to ensure transparency and reliability in the recruitment process by further strengthening the blind interview method that excludes discriminatory factors such as family relations and academic background in interviews for objective and fair recruitment.”
