51 Confirmed Cases in Seoul Related to Itaewon Clubs... 27 More in One Day (Update)

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Due to the cluster infection of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) that started in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, 27 additional confirmed cases were reported in Seoul in one day.
Seoul City announced that as of 10 a.m. on the 11th, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reached 690. This is an increase of 21 cases compared to the 669 cases announced at the same time the previous day. Additionally, 6 more cases confirmed positive on the morning of the 11th brought the total increase to 27 confirmed cases.
These additional confirmed cases were either individuals who visited the clubs, their family members, or acquaintances, all classified as Itaewon club-related confirmed cases.
Accordingly, among the 85 Itaewon club-related confirmed cases nationwide so far, 51 are from the Seoul area.

This is the second highest number following the Guro-gu call center cluster (98 cases), which is the largest cluster infection in Seoul. It is the second largest number.
