Kwang-jae Lee on 8th YouTube Broadcast: "Roh Moo-hyun and Moon Jae-in Are Like Taejong... Sejong Era Will Come"
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Lim Ju-hyung] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon commented on Lee Kwang-jae, the elected member of the Democratic Party of Korea, comparing the late former President Roh Moo-hyun and President Moon Jae-in to 'Taejong,' saying, "Judging by the rhetoric, it feels like the country has returned to the Joseon Dynasty."
On the 9th, former professor Jin quoted a part of Taejong Yi Bang-won's poem "Hayeoga" on his Facebook, saying, "'What does it matter if this or that? What does it matter if the vines of Mansu Mountain are intertwined? We too shall be intertwined and enjoy a hundred years.' The philosophy of pro-Moon faction is condensed in this one poem. They are so disgustingly intertwined that they really seem to be set for a hundred years," he said.
"Hayeoga" is a sijo poem written by Taejong Yi Bang-won, the third king of Joseon who helped Taejo Yi Seong-gye establish Joseon, to appease his opposition, Po Eun Jeong Mong-ju.
Earlier, Lee Kwang-jae compared former President Roh and President Moon to Taejong.
