On this day, Kang Ki-beom (Choi Jin-hyuk) realizes that he has been thoroughly used and points a gun at Director Choi Geun-cheol (Kim Min-sang). Han Tae-woong (Jo Dong-hyuk) emphasizes, "It was Hwang Deuk-gu (Park Sung-woong) who killed Kim Yeo-jin," but Kang Ki-beom says, "The one who handed him over was Choi Geun-cheol." Han Tae-woong continues to persuade him, saying, "The barrel of your gun is not meant to be aimed here. Snap out of it."
Kang Ki-beom still aims the gun and asks, "Let me ask just one last thing. Why me of all people?" Director Choi replies, "I judged you to be the most suitable to become Rugal's weapon." Hearing this, Kang Ki-beom shouts, "Shut up!" and fires the gun, but Han Tae-woong blocks it with his arm. As Kang Ki-beom tries to rush at Director Choi again, Han Tae-woong throws Kang Ki-beom against the wall.
As Kang Ki-beom gets up and regains his balance, Han Tae-woong approaches and attacks again. Kang Ki-beom's artificial eye commands him to "take down" Director Choi, and watching Director Choi flee, Kang Ki-beom tells Han Tae-woong to please step aside. However, Han Tae-woong says, "You'll regret it. Is everything Hwang Deuk-gu said really true?" Kang Ki-beom replies, "If even one thing is true, it's all over."
