Yongin City to 'Emergency Close' 17 Public Libraries and 6 Swimming Pools Starting from the 9th
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province has entered an emergency closure of 17 public libraries and 6 public swimming pools starting from the 9th to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the local community. This is due to concerns that the Itaewon club cluster infection could become a new catalyst for secondary infections in the community.
Yongin City will fully close the 17 public libraries until the 11th, and from the 12th, only book lending services will be available by reservation for up to 150 people per day.
Additionally, the swimming pools at Yongin Citizen Sports Center in Geumeo-ri, Pogok-eup, Cheoin-gu, Namsa Sports Center in Namsa-myeon, Arpia Sports Center in Suji-gu, and Yongin Lifelong Learning Center will remain closed until the situation stabilizes.
The city has also decided to continue the closure of the Yangji-myeon Resident Autonomy Center in Cheoin-gu and the Samga-dong Youth Training Center as part of this measure.
