Halla Group held a ceremony on the 7th at Ungok Hall located within the Halla Human Resources Development Center in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Chung In-young, the founding chairman of Halla Group. Attendees included Chung Mong-won, Chairman of Halla Group; Hong Seok-hwa, President of Halla Holdings; Lee Seok-min, President of Halla Corporation; and Tak Il-hwan, President of Mando.
The ceremony was organized under the theme "Only those who dream can achieve their dreams," which was the founding chairman's belief. The event included viewing a retrospective video of the founder, introducing a commemorative biography and webtoon, and the opening ceremony of the Ungok Hall renewal. Born on May 6, 1920, Ungok Chung In-young is recognized as a pioneer who laid the foundation for the development of Korea's heavy industry.
On this day, Chairman Chung Mong-won said, "Founder Chung In-young was a pioneer who realized his dreams boldly with an indomitable spirit and courage," adding, "In this dynamic era of great uncertainty, let us draw courage from the life of 'Pioneer Chung In-young' and create a new future for the group."
