Gyeonggi Office of Education Strengthens Anti-Corruption and Integrity Policies
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has established and is implementing a comprehensive anti-corruption and integrity policy plan.
To this end, the Gyeonggi Office of Education has set four major strategies and 64 tasks: ▲ Creating an integrity ecosystem with members ▲ Establishing and operating anti-corruption systems ▲ Improving integrity in corruption-prone areas ▲ Sharing and spreading integrity administration and culture.
According to the comprehensive plan, the Superintendent shares integrity policies during the institution heads' council meetings and sends out integrity letters monthly. In addition, the plan strengthens the participation of senior officials by promoting a campaign where department heads and above at the headquarters do not accept lecture fees when giving job-related lectures during working hours, as well as special integrity education.
In particular, it has decided to join the government's '5-Year Comprehensive Anti-Corruption Plan' by improving corruption prevention systems, fairness in work instructions, and external integrity areas, which were identified as vulnerable areas in last year's integrity evaluation results.
