Hancom Group Appoints Kim Yeonsu, Eldest Daughter of Chairman Kim Sangcheol, as Vice President
Strengthening Group Control Tower Capabilities with This Personnel Change
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Hancom Group (hereinafter Hancom Group) announced on the 6th that it has appointed Kim Yeon-su, head of strategic planning and eldest daughter of Chairman Kim Sang-cheol, as Vice President and Head of Group Operations.
Vice President Kim holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Boston University, a Master's degree in Finance from Boston College Graduate School, and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Babson College Graduate School. Starting her career in 2006 at semiconductor manufacturer Wizit, she gained practical experience in planning and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) through overseas business and investment planning. Together with Chairman Kim, she began overseas investment operations by managing Korea's first Nasdaq SPAC.
Since then, at Hancom Group, she oversaw the acquisition of Hancom MDS in 2014 and Hancom With in 2015, contributing to the group's growth and diversification of its business portfolio. She also led the acquisition and sale of European PDF solution company iText, achieving significant overseas investment returns.
