The recipients of the cash are households receiving basic livelihood security livelihood benefits, basic pensions, or disability pensions, where both the head of the household and all household members registered on the resident registration are beneficiaries.
The number of households receiving cash is approximately 2.8 million, accounting for 13% of the total eligible households (21.71 million households).
The increase compared to 2.7 million households is due to the fact that the number of households receiving overlapping benefits from basic livelihood security livelihood benefits, basic pensions, and disability pensions was lower than expected.
Although the exact timing may vary depending on local government circumstances, generally, cash recipients will be able to check whether they can receive cash from their previously registered accounts after 5 p.m. today.
In particular, following the decision by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters on the 1st, the emergency disaster relief funds can also be paid into 'seizure-protection accounts' (approximately 235,000 households), so cash payments are expected to proceed smoothly.
However, if there is an error in the payment account for eligible cash recipients, cash may not be paid by today.
In such cases, the relevant local government plans to verify the erroneous accounts as quickly as possible and complete cash payments by the 8th.
Separately, citizens who want to confirm their eligibility for cash receipt can visit their local town, township, or neighborhood community service center to check.
Citizens who are not eligible for cash payments can apply to charge points to their existing credit or debit cards starting from the 11th, and from the 18th, they can apply for local love gift certificates or prepaid cards at their local community service center or regional banks.
